Genital Piercing

Genital piercing is any body piercing done on genitalia. There are many different types of genital piercings, broadly divided into male and female genital piercings. Genital piercings are considered to be the most painful and sensitive of all piercings. However, the reality is that many of them are not as painful as they may seem. The main difference between genital piercings and other piercings is that the genital ones are more intimate and need to use special smooth jewelry to be comfortable. Another great thing about genital piercings is that many of them are so-called “functional piercings”: they can enhance sexual pleasure for both the wearer and the partner. This is one of the main reasons why genital piercings are so popular. While they may seem like rare piercings they are actually more common than some people think. Generally speaking, there are two main types of genital piercings: male and female genital piercings. Some of these are the same and some male piercings have their female equivalent (or vice versa). The most popular male genital piercings are penis piercings, particularly Prince Albert (PA) piercing. This is by far the most common genital piercing in the world. Other popular male genital piercings include Reverse Prince Albert (Reverse PA), Apadravya, Ampallang, Frenum, Lorum, Hafada and Guiche piercings. Female genital piercings are typically done around the clitoris (not on the clitoris itself – pure clitoral piercing is actually very rare). Some popular female genital piercings include Vertical Clitoral Hood (VCH), Horizontal Clitoral Hood (HCH), Triangle piercing, Inner and Outer labia and Fourchette piercing.
