Clamps

Clamps are a necessary tool in the piercing industry. They are typically used to hold the piercing needle during the procedure and to provide additional support. While there are certain piercing techniques that do not use clamps, there are many more instances in which clamps are regularly used. The use of clamps may depend on the piercer and their individual style of work but clamps are regularly used by numerous professionals. Clamps make the piercing procedure more precise and easier for the piercer, which in turn makes the whole procedure quicker and less painful for the client. Clamps also reduce the errors and other problems that may occur during the piercing so they are a very important tool used in the piercing industry. Also, clamps are often used for other types of body modifications, typically the more extreme procedures and genital body modifications.

There are several popular types of clamps used in the piercing industry and body modifications. Probably the most common type of clamps are the so-called “mosquito clamps”. These are small clamps that are used to hold the needle during the procedure and for better positioning. Some piercers also use them to provide additional support during the piercing procedure. Another popular type of clamps are Foerser clamps that have eyelets. They come with or without a slot for the needle. These are often used for tongue piercings but many other piercings use them as well. The other popular type of clamps are the so-called “septum clamps”. These are carefully designed to form a tube and are typically used for septum piercings.
